For aspiring actors and actresses, this workshop is great for getting the kids out of their heads and into their body. One of the biggest problems young or inexperienced actors face is not getting their bodies into character. They feel afraid they will be judged for committing to the character by their friends. We hope to change that, we work on listening and responding to your stage partners and thinking on your feet. Everything they learn can be put to use in auditions or during plays, in case they forget their big line. Our workshops offer you a great way to get your students out of their shell. We have taken classes of unmotivated students and by the end of their first class they can not wait to do more. The course can improve communication skills and bolster students self confidence.
Our coaches that have had years of stage time preforming will come and work with groups of students and find weaknesses that can be strengthened and improved upon with the help of improv. The kids have fun while getting over stage fright. Improv is fun and an easy way to get more out of the students, and can be more fun that memorizing monologue after monologue, most kids respond to things they enjoy and about 90% of the students we have worked with enjoy improv. So if your class could use a boost of improv contact our improv troupe:
